Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By using Chatham AI, you agree to these terms. For iOS distributions through the Apple App Store, use of the app is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. If a custom EULA is provided in App Store Connect for Chatham, that custom EULA applies to the extent permitted by Apple's terms.

2. Service Description

Chatham AI is a privacy-first meeting transcription and analysis app. It provides on-device speech recognition, speaker identification, AI-powered summarization, action item extraction, and semantic search. All processing occurs locally on your device using Apple Neural Engine — no data is transmitted to external servers.

3. Device, Subscription, and Billing Terms

Chatham AI requires iPhone 14 or newer with iOS 17.0+ and minimum 5GB RAM. The app downloads approximately 2-3GB of AI models for offline processing. For auto-renewable subscriptions, the subscription title, duration, and current price are shown in-app before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel in Apple ID Subscriptions.

4. Your Responsibilities

  • Obtain proper consent before recording conversations as required by law
  • Use the app for lawful purposes only
  • Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models
  • Maintain device security (passcode, biometrics) to protect your data
  • Back up important data — you are responsible for your local storage

5. Recording Consent Laws

Recording laws vary by jurisdiction. Some require one-party consent, others require all-party consent. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with applicable laws in your location. Resonance Studio is not liable for any legal consequences arising from your recordings.

6. Data Ownership

You own all data created by the app including recordings, transcripts, summaries, and voice profiles. This data never leaves your device (unless you enable optional iCloud sync to your personal account). You can export or delete your data at any time through the app settings.

7. AI Accuracy Disclaimer

AI-generated transcriptions, summaries, and analysis may contain errors. Speaker identification may be inaccurate. Do not rely solely on AI outputs for critical decisions, legal matters, medical situations, or financial transactions without human verification.

8. Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. RESONANCE STUDIO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DATA LOSS, TRANSCRIPTION ERRORS, OR LEGAL CONSEQUENCES FROM RECORDINGS.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. Delete all data through Settings > Data > Delete All Data. Uninstalling the app removes local data. iCloud data must be deleted separately if enabled. If you have an active subscription, cancel it in Apple ID Subscriptions to stop future renewals.

For iOS App Store distribution, this Terms page is intended to be read together with Apple's standard terms and any custom EULA configured for Chatham in App Store Connect.
